HEALING THE CHILDHOOD TRAUMA YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD.

September 20, 2020

Children depend on their parents and caregivers to help them navigate the world.  When there is not trust we teach them not to trust and that the world is dangerous and not safe.

Our childhood shapes our beliefs, feelings, emotions, attitudes, behavior and imprints into wounds. We then take these wounds into our adult life and reenact them in our relationships, school, college, job, and marriage.  We then repeat them with our own children.

These things are so deep, hidden, and automatic we don’t even have a clue again, until something happens to bring our awareness.

Did you know when trauma is not resolved our brain is not fully integrated? This mean a person 50 years old can have childish behavior. This means we get triggered over and over and have no clue why we feel, react and respond or even feel the way we do.  We may not even be able to associate the feelings and thoughts.  Chemicals get released and it takes hours for them to calm back down to think rational and respond appropriately and that is if we don’t get triggered again.

MINDFUL MEDITATIONS

August 18, 2020

When dealing with day-to-day stress, it is important to find ways to de-stress and get present in the moment.  It is so easy to get carried away with our problems and responsibilities of life that cause stress. This is why it is so important to do mindful meditations to help not feel so overwhelmed, stressed and not yourself.

Check our the Blog for techniques to help you regain being present and mindful.
