Do you prefer to be more logical, concrete and visual? Then object meditation might be a better fit. This type of meditation is designed to get in touch with all your senses. You can use a visual aid like a salt lamp or lava lamp. Some use a painting or even staring at the wall. Some may prefer finding some soft soothing music, white noise or natural sounds like birds chirping or ocean waves. Children or adults even use a tangible object like silly putty, slime, rubber bands or fidget spinners to get present. Lastly, my favorite is essential oils in a diffuser while doing one of the first two.
